This issue of absent magazine was hand-coded in HTML5 and CSS3 by Irwin Chen, Charis Poon, and Tyler Madsen in early fall of 2010. (If you're looking at this on an older browser, chances are you won't see the wonderful fonts we're using.) We decided to use the beautiful Cardo, a font by David J. Perry modeled on Aldus Manutius' typeface used for Pietro Bembo's De Ætna, specifically designed for the needs of classicists, Biblical scholars, medievalists, and linguists. Cardo has been released under the SIL Open Font License, version 1.1.
